That’s a wrap for LAW2020 Online: Wills and Probate!

On 12th May, The Solicitors Group headed online and delivered best in class content, training and a leading exhibition delivered by experts in the field.

"A good way to access training at a time to suit you, the online course is as effective as attending in person." - Associate Solicitor

With COVID-19 influencing our face to face events, as well as how legal firms and professionals operate and engage with their customers, we understood the vital need to continue to provide updates and training whilst we all adapt to a world of social distancing and virtual communication.

Following extensive market research, it was apparent that a downside of attending events was the time spent commuting to venues and taking the time out of schedules. Our customers wanted their own timetable and flexibility around their learning, relevant content delivered by leading speakers. From this, we launched LAW2020 Online.

Wills and Probate was the first practice area we launched as part of our LAW2020 Online line up; a series of digital content-led events designed to fulfil your training requirements at a time and place to suit you.

We were overwhelmed with the response from Wills and Probate practitioners who joined us in making our face-to-face events possible online. Over 200 attendees participated between 12th May – 11th June to watch 4 hours of topical content from Professor Lesley King and Jacqui Lazare covering vital developments to private client practitioners and the impact of Covid-19.

The event attendees visited the Wills and Probate exhibition to view how Cancer Research UK, Estate Research, Practice Enterprise Finance, STEP, VoicePower and Watchman can all help you in your day-to-day practice. We added free webinars to the accounts of LAW2020 Online: Wills and Probate attendees in exchange for engaging in special offers, additional CPD, webinars and product demonstrations from these leading suppliers.

A key highlight was the live Q&A session on Monday 8th June sponsored by Estate Research, where over 50 customers watched Professor Lesley King, Jacqui Lazare and Estate Research discussing all the questions and points raised from the pre-recorded content to help Shape the Debate for the profession. We know that a date and time to suit all is just not possible and therefore we sent out the recording of the session to all paid customers. The session has been viewed multiple times since!

94% of attendees would recommend the new 6 hour CPD events to a friend or a colleague, and every single person who engaged with LAW2020 Online: Wills and Probate would attend again.

The content from our experts have helped customers learn in a number of ways with over 90% rating it “excellent” in our post event feedback. Customer testimonials of LAW2020 Online: Wills and Probate include:-
